About Us

Sun School is the oldest English-medium kindergarten in Kanker and was established in 1994 in memory of Late Maharajadhiraj Bhanu Pratap Deo, the last ruler of Kanker (1925-47), whose progressive policies, including those in the field of education, were an example in his time. Fora long time now our students, parents and well-wishers have been asking us to extend our educational facilities to higher classes in order to make available quality English-language education to the people of this region. We are happy to announce the completion of the first successful year of Suryoday Vidyalay, a post-kindergarten school which seeks to take our mission forward, providing education that will measure up to the highest standard anywhere. We hope to keep receiving the kind patronage of our community.
